LXHZ Type RF Wireless Remote Reading Water Meter with Valve Control (hereafter referred as LXHZ RF Wireless Water Meter)adopts Volumetric Type mechanical water meter. By integrating RF Wireless and Infrared Communication Module, it can perfectly realize remote meter reading, valve control and data query etc. functions.It provides comprehensive, reliable, advanced smart meter solutions to water utilities & authorities. The meter has Real-time clock (RTC), real-time credit calculation, and monthly billing data etc. functions to provide real-time water consumption statistics.Moreover, It supports Open Case Detection & Anti-magnetic interference to prevent tampering and also has Event Record functions to provide accurate statistics of operation, warning & indication etc. during meters’ lifetime to Water Utility.LXHZ complies with OIMLR49, ISO4064, NTC-1063 standards, and suitable for Laison Remote Management Information System (LAMIS).

1. Basic Function

1.1 Accumulation Function
LXHZ can accumulate the consumed water credit based on one month interval.
1.2 Data Statistic Function
1) Monthly billing data
LXHZ can store monthly consumption data at monthly billing date, meanwhile it recover the register to zero to calculate the next month’s consumption. Utility operator can read the data via Remote RF wireless communication or near-field infrared communication
2) Event Record
LXHZ RF Wireless Water Meter can record all the events happened during the lifetime of water meter, and Event Record consists of Event Type and Event Happened Time.
The event records type includes the following types:
Battery replacement
Open/Close Valve Failure
Card Read Time & Card Type
Open Cover Time
Magnetic Interference time
Exceed maximum flow time
Utility operator can read these event record via Remote RF wireless communication or near-field infrared communication
1.3 Anti-tamper functions
1) Program in LXHZ adopts AES encryption method to ensure high security level of meter.
2) When magnetic interference happens, LXHZ type meter will close valve automatically and LCD show E529, also, this event will be recorded in meter.
3) When meter cover is opened illegally, LXHZ type meter will close valve automatically and LCD show EC43, also, this event will be recorded in meter.
4) When flow rate of water running through water pipe exceed the preset value, LXHZ type meter will close valve automatically and LCD show EC44, also, this event will be recorded in meter.
1.4 Meter Management
1) Real Time Clock Management
Real Time Clock (RTC): LXHZ RF Wireless Water Meter adopts external RTC Chip to maintain accurate clock in meter, whose error <0.5s/day.
2) Daylight Saving Time:DST
RTC (Real Time Clock) in meter can be adjusted automatically forward a certain time  when Daylight saving time starts, which is configured in “ Daylight saving time scheme ”,  and will go backward certain time when daylight saving time ends.
3) FLASH Management
All the data in meter are stored in FLASH. which is non-erasable storage even if the power runs out. Max. 10 years’ data can be stored
4) Battery Management
1)When battery power drops to 20%, LXHZ will show EC02 and record this event to indicate Utility operator to replace battery.
2)When battery power drops to 10%, meter will store relative data automatically and then close valve. LCD will indicate EC01. The meter can be continuously used only after battery is replaced by Utility operator.
 

2. Wireless Module Function

2.1 Remote Meter Reading
Utility operators could read meters’ data remotely in center system via RF communication.  data collected consists of:
1) total consumption of water
2) Monthly consumption of water
3) Monthly billing data
4) Event record
5) Meter Serial No. query
6) Meter status
7) Meter reading type (automatically/manually)
8) Battery voltage
9) Valve status (open/close)
2.2 Remote Valve control
Utility operators could close/open meters’ valve remotely in center system via RF  communication.
2.3 Remote Parameters setting
Utility operators can set meters’ corresponding parameters remotely in center system via   RF communication.
